What’s our definition of snow?
Well, we’ve been having a little dig in the snow and found the official Met Office definition is “a single snowflake falling during the 24 hours of Christmas Day” at a particular location. Now this location is to be the Met Office building in London.

Snow doesn’t even need to settle for it to count as a white Christmas. That means meteorologists might class a Christmas as “white” without it looking quite as picturesque as Bing Crosby imagined.
