Our Marketing team had some quick-fire questions for Kris and Tevo and here are their responses:

Kris:

What were you hoping to achieve:

To see the latest offering from manufacturing and introduce new products to our business with an emphasis on innovative packaging solutions, plus was a great opportunity to build on existing relationships with current suppliers and build on potentially new ones too.

Did you get what you were looking for?

Most definitely, Interpack impresses with its size and scope and attracts exhibitors and trade visitors from all over the world, establishing it as one of the most important events in the packaging industry.

Any key takeaways from the show?

For me, I would say that it’s a great opportunity to see the latest offering from the industry and gives us visibility to venture into new areas within packaging and hopefully increase our product offering in the future. One other thing…it’s HUGE!!

Tevo:

Any key takeaways from the show?

  • Be there. It’s the biggest packaging event in Europe, you don’t want to miss this.
  • Take time. We had to rush through as one day was a bit too short to meet all potential suppliers.
  • Don’t just talk – get quotes straight on the spot. Some suppliers have special prices for event customers.
  • Contact the suppliers straight after the event again per email to remind them who you are. They meet 100s or 1000s of people there. You don’t want to remain a random number.
  • Share photos, packaging news and trends with your team/company.
  • If you are planning to stay for 2 days on a big event, book the hotel/accommodation at least 6 months before the event so that you can avoid 3x prices.
  • Start asking suppliers you know are going to be at the event about 6 months before the event to see if they can send you an invitation. Tickets were 65€ online and 75€ on the spot.

Here are some photos from the event:

In summary, Interpack 2023 was a resounding success for our team. It provided us with invaluable insights, new possibilities, and connections that will shape our future in the packaging industry. As we move forward, we will utilise the knowledge gained from this remarkable event to enhance our product offerings, strengthen our relationships, and put ourselves at the forefront of packaging innovation. So mark the next Interpack event date in your diaries, because missing out on this grand gathering would mean missing out on a world of opportunities.
