As of 5:30pm today (9th September 2015) Queen Elizabeth II will become the longest reigning UK Monarch in 1,000 years of British history.
Queen Elizabeth II became Queen on 6 February 1952, and will have served for 63 years and 216 days.
She will surpass the record set by her great-great grandmother, Queen Victoria, who reigned for a total of 63 years and 215 days.
